Our fabulous, wonderful critique group just added a new member. It's exciting to have a fresh face around. Holli is really a go-getter. She's got a wonderful section on her blog where she has journaled the steps she's taken to becoming a children's illustrator.
We're all very happy to have her join our PBJ group!

What a great group you guys have; there's a lot of talent there! I tried to start a critique group with some people from my area who I met at the SCBWI conference in LA last year, but somehow it didn't work out. I guess the chemistry wasn't quite right. How did you guys get started?

Einar, what we did to get started was come up with exactly what we wanted the group to accomplish and what we wanted it to feel like. You know, what kind of atmosphere we were looking for. Then we gathered people who were comfortable in that atmosphere.
